    Assessment Integrity

    Proctoring for Blackboard.

Keep the assessment in Blackboard and add evidence for an instructor-led review of integrity concerns.

Integration through an LTI app, available for institutional evaluation

    What is the integration path?

Integration through an LTI app, available for institutional evaluation

Discuss your assessment workflow with our team before deployment. Confirm the student launch experience, reviewer access and institutional configuration during evaluation.

What does the student experience look like?

The student receives notice and setup instructions before the assessment. Proctoring runs only during the exam window while the student completes the assessment in the LMS.

The institution should explain the enabled checks, permitted applications and accommodations. A setup concern should have a support path rather than becoming an automatic integrity finding.

    What does the instructor receive?

The instructor reviews timestamped evidence under the institution's assessment policy. Findings inform a human decision; they do not automatically change a grade, fail an exam or establish misconduct.

Agree who can access evidence, where the review takes place and how long it is retained. Those responsibilities should be clear before students are asked to participate.

Why look beyond a lockdown browser?

A lockdown browser controls the assessment environment within its scope. Device-level proctoring adds evidence about integrity concerns outside that browser view, without treating the browser controls as useless or a flag as a verdict.

Use ScreenComply as the proctoring layer, or alongside the lockdown browser your institution already uses. Review the scope and student notice together so the added evidence fits the assessment rather than promising complete visibility.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Is the Blackboard integration available?

Integration through an LTI app, available for institutional evaluation. The LTI app is available for institutional evaluation; confirm the intended workflow before deployment.

Does this replace our lockdown browser?

It can act as your proctoring layer or complement your existing browser controls. Discuss the assessment scope and the evidence your instructors need rather than assuming every workflow needs the same configuration.

    Does a finding change a student's grade?

No. Evidence supports instructor and institutional review, and no automatic grade or failure decision is made. Apply your policy and consider the student's explanation before deciding.

What should students know before the exam?

Tell students how to set up, when proctoring runs, what checks are enabled and who to contact. Explain permitted applications, accommodations and the institution's retention and review process.
